Like many unexpected love stories, ours began during the 2020 COVID lockdown. In the middle of uncertainty, comfort came in the form of baking. Monica was selling homemade macarons to friends and family when Jomyle stumbled upon Monica’s baking page and decided to place an order. We were complete strangers at the time, with only a few mutual Instagram friends and a box of macarons connecting us. That macaron order led to our first date at Sargent Sundae. We were both very nervous (ice cream can be intimidating), but something clicked almost immediately. By the end of our second date, it was clear this was more than just a sweet treat. Six years later, we said “yes” to forever and got engaged in the Butterfly Garden at The Leaf. Over the past six years, we’ve built a life together—sharing a home, exploring new places, creating countless memories, and supporting one another through both joyful milestones and life’s challenges. From DMs, to dessert dates, to forever—we can’t wait to celebrate this new chapter with you all!
