Like many modern romances, ours began online—but what followed was something truly special. After a few messages, we made plans for our first date at Matchbox. From the moment we sat down, the connection was undeniable. We spent the night laughing nonstop and left knowing this was the start of something different. Shortly after that first date, Monica left Florida to return to the University of Alabama for the spring semester. Even with the distance, we stayed in touch—FaceTiming every day, building a deep friendship and an even deeper bond. It was during one of those late-night calls that Jared said “I love you”, even before we officially became a couple. When Monica came home for spring break in March, everything fell into place. That’s when we officially started dating, and the rest, as they say, is history. On Valentine’s Day, surrounded by the beauty of Flamingo Gardens, Jared got down on one knee and asked Monica to spend forever together. Monica said yes—and now we’re so excited to begin the next chapter of our lives as husband and wife.
