Monica loves to give Giacomo a hard time because although he originally liked her online profile, she had to send him the first message...and thank goodness she did! They exchanged several messages before meeting for a date at a bar called Monkey's Tail in early December 2022. After three hours of easy conversation, it was obvious that they could not run out of things to talk about and agreed to continue seeing each other. They spent that New Year's Eve together with Giacomo's friends, and by New Year's Day they were in a relationship. And the rest is history!
Giacomo took Monica to Fredericksburg, TX for a getaway weekend at a stargazing dome on August 1, 2025. When they arrived, she found a beautiful display of wine, roses, and a card addressed to her. She didn't think anything of it until Giacomo asked her to open the card and she finally did. Inside the card was a message written asking Monica to marry him, and in her surprise, she forgot to say yes! But the answer was obvious, and they celebrated their engagement the rest of the weekend in Fredericksburg.
We are so excited to celebrate our marriage with our family and friends in beautiful Cancun, Mexico! We know that we are asking a lot of our loved ones by having our wedding out of the country, and we want you to know that if you are not able to make it, we completely understand and will look forward to celebrating with you when we see you again.
