FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is cocktail attire which includes dresses and suits. It is not a black tie event.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Ceremony begins at 1:30 p.m. at St. Hilary’s Church in Tiburon. Please plan to be seated a little before then by 1:15 p.m. The reception follows at Cavallo Point in Sausalito starting around 3:30 p.m.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Early October in Tiburon and Sausalito is usually mild and clear with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s, cooler by the water in the evening. Rain is possible but not typical. Cavallo Point sits on the bay near the Golden Gate and is often windy, so a light jacket or wrap is a good idea for photos and walking the grounds as there tends to be strong westerly winds.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

St. Hilary’s church has on-site parking. Cavallo Point has complimentary parking at the lodge—follow signs for Tidewater when you arrive which is the space directly above the lobby.

Question

Can I use a rideshare service?

Answer

Yes. There are ample ride share and taxi companies available around the church and reception.

Question

Is the ceremony a full Mass?

Answer

No. It’s a Catholic ceremony at St. Hilary’s, not a full Mass. It will be a 45 minute ceremony.
