She stood alone. The crowd was worshiping the Lord on a regular Sunday. Music moving the Holy Spirit and the congregation. The atmosphere was beautiful, emotional. Perhaps, romantic. She stood alone. Dancing to herself. He noticed her from across the sanctuary. Her freedom in worship, her hair, her jacket. She looked confident. Who was the Woman in Red? For weeks prior to Easter Sunday, the two participated in rehearsals. One an artist. The other, a dancer. He went around asking, “Who is she?” Her flags traveled around her, gliding graciously as she worshiped God. They passed each other casually. A few waves, perhaps a hello here and there. But finally, after weeks of just passing by, he approached her. She wore her red jacket again. Her red shoes matched alongside her red lipstick. With a smile and hand stretched out, he said; “Hi. I'm Caleb Anderson. Who are you?” In scripture, God’s greatest gifts come after his followers step out of their comfort zones. Monica and Caleb stepped out of what they knew to walk together. See God had a plan that required them to just give their yes to Him. What followed was a friendship that blossomed into love. Love that blossomed into Mr. and Mrs. Anderson.
