Travel Note
Parking update: Look at picture above. It's an easy walk or you can be driven in a golf cart! Cell Reception While you are in the mountains you will have no cell reception. GPS works well as long as you don't mess with it after you lose reception. There are two places along the way that have free WiFi if you need to restore your GPS or call/text: The Hilltop Station restaurant, and our mail center at our entrance on Rush Creek Rd. Driving on the dirt road: From the entrance to our place, it's a 12 minute 2.5 mile drive. Speed limit is 15mph please do this or slower for many reasons. 1, it's normal for deer, elk and turkey to roam the roads. And 2, the road is steep and narrow at times. Heads up, there are a couple stretches that are single lane. If you go head to head with another vehicle, one person will have to pull over or even reverse to a wider part. Don't get close to the edge. Please keep in mind this is not a road you want to drive after having drinks especially at night.
