Once upon a time, I had this new coworker named Monica. I didn't like her too much at first because she was loud and kind of blunt, but eventually we became work friends. Then, one day, she called me out of the blue and asked if she could come over my house to hang out and talk. I of course said yes. Ever since then, we've grown into great friends and I wouldn't have it any other way!

We have confided in each other. We now live in different cities, but we talk daily. When we see each other, we pick right up where we left off. Who knew the new girl in my 7th grade algebra class would become my best friend. Monica and I share so many great memories together from her “teaching” me how to swim to having many great sleepovers. One of my favorite memories is packing picnics to adventure out in the woods behind her house to slay ors with our favorite Lord of the Rings characters and find our magical boulder where we met pretend dragons and fairies. Life is magical with Monica around!

Ben is and shall remain my oldest and most enduring friend. Growing up across the street from each other we were inseparable while traipsing through the woods, concocting elaborate trampoline games, or watching the same damn movies again, and again. We have remained steadfast friends through the years. I’m deeply proud to call him my friend and I wish him the best in this next chapter of his life.
