Get Your Ducks in a Row (FAQs)

The Wedding Website of Alex Duckles and Monica Powell
June 5th approaches! Here are some details:
Question

Where's your wedding?

Answer

The delightful beachside Red Jacket Resort in South Yarmouth, MA will play host to all our weekend wedding events! From the Welcome BBQ on Friday, June 4th through our Farewell Breakfast on Sunday, June 6th. The grounds are also a lovely activity hub for swimming, sporting, and general lounging. We're encouraging all our guests to book rooms at the Red Jacket to keep you close to the whole party and avoid the need to travel to-and-fro when the party gets going: redjacketresorts.com/resorts/red-jacket-beach-resort

Question

How do I book accomodation?

Answer

Well for starters, we certainly recommend booking sooner rather than later! Summers in Cape Cod are a high-traffic season – but don't you worry, we have a plan. We're asking all guests to consider staying at the Red Jacket Resort. Many of our guests are opting to stay in cottages at the resort – if you're interested in cottage space and would like to coordinate with us, please reach out. If you would prefer a private room, please book directly through the wedding website or by calling the resort at (800) 752-2538.

Question

What other hotel options are available?

Answer

If you'd like to compare options, we recommend either Ocean Mist Hotels or the 'Surfcomber on the Ocean'. Both are right down the street from our venue: www.oceanmistcapecod.com www.surfcomberontheocean.com You are also welcome to pursue AirB&B or any other options under the sun – but keep in mind your distance from Red Jacket! Taxis and Ubers are notoriously hard to find on the Cape.

Question

Do you have a COVID plan?

Answer

We're working with the Resort to ensure that precautions are taken to keep all of our guests safe and comfortable during the wedding weekend. We will be utilizing outdoor venues and asking guests to wear masks and practice social distancing. Please reach out if you have any questions.

Question

What does 'semi-formal dress' mean?

Answer

We're not picky, we just want all our guests to be comfortable and look nice for pictures! Popular ideas might be suits and dress shoes or a cocktail dress, jumpsuit or romper. Thinking about accessories? You should be! Go glitzy and glam or refined and subtle, whatever speaks to your aesthetic and spirit. Thanks for reading all the way down to the bottom of the FAQ page. You're the real hero here.
