Monica and Will found each other at the most romantic of places…OKCupid. After talking about the dreaded upcoming departure of Jon Stewart from The Daily Show, they decided to go on their first date. When they met at Macao Trading Company in NYC, Will was relieved to hear that Monica doesn’t have a (strong) Long Island accent, and Monica was equally glad to see that Will is an inch taller than written on his profile. They spent the night excitedly swapping travel stories. Will was so lost in conversation he forgot to key up asking Monica out on the next date, ending the night with the perfectly timed line of “I’ll let you know.” After dating for almost a year, they knew it was time to answer the big question…can they travel together? On their exploratory trip to Peru, both tested their limits - Will had to brave the Anaconda Walk and Monica stood up to an army of butterflies, but persevered with the help of each other. Since then, they’ve traveled to 7 countries together, lived in a combined 6 different apartments, and started their foray into social media fame (follow us @quitethesandwich); Monica earned a Masters Degree and started a career in Corporate Social Responsibility, became a credit card points sommelier (with coaching from Will), and ran a marathon (with Will’s help of carbo-loading at Oktoberfest), and Will started a hedge-fund, learned Krav Maga, and became an air frying master.
