Train
Train from Barcelona Airport (Best Value)
How long: ~1 hr 40 min door-to-door How it works: 1. If you land at Terminal 1 Barcelona (BCN) Airport, take the free green shuttle to Terminal 2 (≈7–10 min). Alternatively, you can take a taxi from T1 to Barcelona Sants station. 2. From T2 “Aeroport” station, take R2 Nord (R2N) to Barcelona-Sants (≈24–30 min; ~every 30 min). 3. At Sants, take R15 regional train to Altafulla-Tamarit. 4. Take a short taxi from the station to your hotel/town center. Typical cost: ~€8–13 per person Good to know: This is a local commuter route, NOT a high speed AVE. It is important that you check R2N and R15 times as they may vary. No reservation needed. Rental Car from Barcelona-El Prat Airport (Most Flexible)
Best for: Guests planning to explore and do excursions to Tarragona/Sitges/wineries. Total time: ~50–55 min from BCN via motorway; easy signage and tolls. For the best rates/vehicle choice, it is highly recommended that you book ahead of time. Airport pickup at Terminal 1 is easiest.

Coming from Madrid (Recommended)
Best for: Guests traveling within Spain before the wedding, or guests who plan to walk and use taxis! Fastest route: AVE to Camp de Tarragona (this stop is closer to Altafulla than Barcelona-Sants). Do I need to book ahead? Yes. AVE uses seat-specific tickets and pricing tiers, booking early is cheaper and guarantees your train. Buy on Renfe.com or the Renfe App. Click "View" below and it will take you directly. From Camp de Tarragona you can either rent a car, or take a 20 minute taxi to your hotel in Altafulla.
