We are getting married!

School's not all about studying and getting a degree! Tyler and Moni met Moni's first day and Tyler's second day on campus. They were on a University Scholars "field trip" to the NCSU ropes course. We would love to say they really hit it off from the start, but....it was really a one way crush for a good bit. Moni was all googly-eyed and Tyler wasn't so sure quite yet. But Moni had her ways and eventually Tyler came to his senses... ;)

Now this is quite the story! Tyler had Moni fooled that a trip back home to Asheville was all for a photoshoot for a friend who was "starting a blog" and needed some content pictures...little did Moni know Tyler had the most epic and sweet proposal and after-party planned out! The day of the "photoshoot" came and Tyler, Moni, and two other couples (...one who was supposedly starting this blog...) hiked up Craggy Gardens in the pouring rain. When they got to the top, the "blogger" tells Tyler and Moni to act natural and candid and to simply talk amongst themselves. So Tyler begins talking...or rather proposing...and Moni stops him in his tracks and says, "Babe. I don't think they want us to talk this much..." Without pause, Tyler says "Babe. I got this." and continues with his beautiful proposal. As soon as Tyler gets down on one knee, the rain stops and the sun comes out from behind the clouds. Moni soon catches on to what is happening and feels awful for interrupting and literally stopping Tyler but is quickly overcome with joy and happiness! Tyler and Moni then continued their celebration afterwards at a surprise party at Tyler's parents' house...where Tyler didn't miss or forget a single detail! Ice cream was served and all was well as the two celebrated their engagement with close friends and family!
