Danni and Josh met the first day of school. Josh was a freshman and Danni was a sophomore. "Just friends" was the motto for much of Year 1. Then, Danni invited Josh to FCA. Josh took a leap of faith and decided to tag along. That was the beginning of something special. "Just friends" became "best friends." Finally, June 18th of 2013 turned them into a new catch phrase. Boyfriend and Girlfriend. Little did they know it wasn't going to be the last time their catch phrase changed.... Mr. and Mrs. will be the new catchphrase on June 30, 2018!

Easter of 2017. Danni was SO excited for the family Easter Egg Hunt. The family Easter Egg Hunt was something Danni's family had done when she was little and had somehow gotten away from it. When Danni begged her mom to host the family Easter Egg Hunt, Josh and the Thenell's plotted the proposal. When each Thenell found the Easter egg with their name on it, they were to hold onto it and open it when the whole family was watching. Starting youngest to oldest, Danni watched each cousin open their Easter egg to find $1 or the occasional $5. Josh won the Golden Egg with $20, but Danni opened the egg that Josh had created himself with a note that said "Will you marry me?" Before Danni knew it, Josh was on his knee. He asked and she said yes ;)
