The Lantern of Lake Forest offers a wing night special on Mondays, Thirsty Thursdays, and a matchmaking special on Sundays. It took a few months for Erick and Netta's shifts to cross paths. He worked the lunch shift and she rushed to the dinner shifts. Eventually, it finally happened. Their coworker was quick to point out the chemistry between the two. Netta laughed it off but in the spring of 2018, she decided to take a chance. They quickly became enwrapped in each other's lives, meeting family and friends. Erick became a big brother to Netta's sisters and Netta shared a mutual love for HGTV and telenovelas with Erick's mother. Now, half a decade later (and a pandemic), they have experienced so much shared life already but they know it's just the beginning. Erick looks forward to showing Netta his life in Mexico, and introducing her to family and friends (and eating plenty of food too). Netta is getting his snow boots ready to show him the beauty of Finland. They both have goals and wishes that they plan to experience together, pushing each other to achieve the life they want. There's joy in looking to the future, but they are so appreciative to be celebrating the present. There is a constant rotation of friends and family visiting on "Soccer Tuesdays" and the weekends. The home on Argonne Drive is a work in progress covered with dog hair and love from their German Shepard/Husky mix, Gabriela, and their street dog, Bentley. There is so much love and friendship surrounding these two and it all started at the Lantern.
