Currently for everyone age 5+, the City of New Orleans is requiring proof of two doses of the COVID vaccine, except for those who have received one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, or a negative PCR, molecular, or antigen test within 72 hours at restaurants, bars, and other businesses. Acceptable forms of proof of Vaccination: -LA Wallet App SMART Health Card -An original, digital photograph, or photocopy of CDC -Vaccination Card (both sides) -An official vaccine record issued by another state, a foreign nation, or the World Health Organization Or -Negative antigen or PCR Test -Physical or electronic test results from an antigen or PCR Covid-19 test indicating negative results within the past 72 hours

Question

Where did you get those shoes?

Answer

This is a popular New Orleans scam. If someone comes up to you and asks “Where you got your shoes?” Just say, “I live here” or ignore them. If you engage they’ll say something like, “on your left and right feet” or “on Bourbon St.” and then demand payment. Don’t engage. It happened to us once and then we just walked away and it was fine.
