On January 2, 2024, Monet attended Journey Young Adults with a friend. While she was there, she spotted another friend, Ben Soyster, and went over to say hello. Ben introduced her to Jordan. At the time, she had no idea that five months later, on a random Tuesday, he would reach out. On June 18 at 6:21 a.m., Jordan sent Monet a simple Instagram message: “Hey!!! Hru!?” She replied, “Good, hru?” and from that moment, something just clicked. They texted all day and decided to meet up that evening at Alpenglow Park. What started as an easy conversation turned into hours of talking, followed by days of constant texting and spending time together. That Friday, they went to a movie, grabbed dinner, and ended the night at Drake Park. Sitting on a blanket and talking, Monet mentioned that they were not technically dating yet.
