Yes....? Laura asked Jeff to set this up. Please ask Jeff if you are close family or coming from out of town. ;) We will walk through the service prior to guest showing up on the big day.
1pm Wedding quick rehearsal -- if you are in the wedding party please come by now. 2pm "Doors" Open. 3pm Service 4pm Dinner 5pm Cake 6pm Dance -- with live music 9:30pm -- Bar closed 10pm -- Packing out 11:59pm -- Venue locks up ;) Don't have to go home, but can't stay here.
Food will be showing up 4pm for early dinner / late lunch. We are getting catering from Bijou Catering via EZ catering https://www.ezcater.com/catering/bijou-restaurant-3?filter%5Bquery_string%5D=gluten%20free If you would like to pick something on the menu, please feel free, but we need a minimum of 10 for item.
I choose Zola to set up our registry because it was the fastest most flexible wedding registry. With Zola, we could put anything we wanted on our registry and link to any website -- at no cost! Buying items "through" zola means we "cash" (everything is electronic these days) for the item, so we can shoot for the moon and get what we really want with the help of many friends. Buying the item at the web-site we link to outside of zola gets us the gift without zola getting a cut. (so preferred!) The cut is better than anywhere else I have found (2.8%) but still....that could be for us! :P
Sure! Laura will have a "bridal purse" the day of the wedding -- feel free to slip something in there or we will have an envelope box -- along with a tip jar for the band.
Due to the very large family we both have and the even larger number of friends Laura is insisting on inviting....we don't have room for everyone....however.....please consider saving the evening for a dance (6:30ish)
Nope! Oscar has to miss the big day so "Fluffy" will have to stay home / in the hotel.
No! We are under clear orders that NO outside alcohol or marijuana is allowed on the venue property. We are able to afford this beautiful venue in part because they have a "no host bar" so please bring money for the bar and leave the bottles at home!
Not for most things and if you can find the same-ish items at a site you like better -- go for it. We are just letting you know what we need/would like
We want everyone to celebrate! If you have a kid that won't be happy out and about, best to leave them at home, but happy kids? Sure! We welcome volunteer flower/bubble "kids" of all ages, but Laura hopes you will wear a too-too!
No alcohol should be pretty clear: don't bring outside booze. There is a "no host" bar -- so bring cash (or card) Medication is that Mary-Jane/pot/reefier/etc. This is an old fashion club and if they see either on their property, we get one warning (for everyone) and then we are out. No second chances. If you must "pre-game" please park *across the street* and leave everything in your car. -- maybe hit the air freshener for good measure.
We are in that age aren't we? Laura and Jeff have hired a lovely photographer Arthur Koch (https://www.facebook.com/ArthurKochStudio/?fb_dtsg_ag=AdzarW2tNQUGODsgokjCEKl7vfo4iN99N0n44LdCq_zv1A%3AAdz_YKeAplG_Rx4wDK861SMyuTc5qRbQzl6Y9ONx5_RWyA) and would like him to be the only one doing staged shots (aka the only camera everyone looks at). Candid shots are welcome, but please limit your flash use. We would prefer filming as it has no shutter sound and no flash :) Please no flash photography during the service.
It is going to be hot! Wear light weight and be ready to dance. Bring money for the bar. Feel free to help with clean up if you will be here at the end of the night. :D
There is a parking lot at the Elk lodge but it is not "guaranteed". There is also plenty of street parking but it is a bit of a walk. (Please remember to enter from the back of the building)
Due to professional obligations and personal preference, Laura will be keeping her last name. She says that she will happily answer to Laura Walker if addressed as such. Legally, we are Jeffrey William Fong Walker and Laura Jane Osburn
