FAQs

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

If you have a plus one listed on your invite then yes, otherwise no. Space is limited at the venue and we would love for everyone to be able to stay onsite together.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We love your little ones, but we’ve chosen to make our wedding an adults-only celebration. We hope you take this as a chance to enjoy a well-deserved weekend away to relax and celebrate with us! *If attending without your children isn’t possible, please reach out — we’ll do our best to find a solution. Just note that accommodations are quite limited and best suited for 1–2 couples per space.

Question

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than March 7th, 2026 so we can get a full count for food/drinks.

Question

How does booking work for the lodging?

Answer

Everyone will book their lodging directly through the venue when the booking window opens (likely sometime in March). When the booking window opens, we will provide a code to our guests to book accommodations for the weekend. There are enough accommodations for every guest to stay onsite so no need to worry about accommodations selling out. *Please do not reach out to the venue before you get the code from us as they will not be able to assist. The majority of guests will be staying in either a double (2 x queens) or single (1 x queen) glamping tent. In the case of the double tents, we've paired up friends so no one will be sharing a tent with strangers.

Question

What if I don't want to stay in a cabin or glamping tent?

Answer

Although we would love to have everyone onsite for the weekend to experience the magic of Trout Creek Wilderness, we understand that glamping may not be everyone's style and that's okay! Feel free to check out AirBnBs in Molalla. The town of Molalla is about a 15 minute drive from the venue *Please note that guests staying offsite will need to plan their own rides to and from the venue every day.

Question

What's the weather like in Molalla in August?

Answer

The average temperature in Molalla in August ranges from a high of about 83°F to a low of 54°F. However, temperatures in the forest are about 10 degrees cooler than the city so be sure to pack a jacket for the evenings just in case!

Question

What should I pack?

Answer

Be sure to bring a swimsuit, sandals, sunscreen, hat, towel, etc for river hangs, sauna, hot tub, and cold plunge, and comfortable shoes if you plan to go on a hike/explore the property. You can throw in a party shirt for good measure. Also, bring a jacket as it tends to be a bit cooler in the forest. *The venue will provide one towel per guest so we recommend bringing a beach towel.

Question

What does "Funky Formal" mean?

Answer

Whatever you want it to mean! But ultimately whatever makes you feel good (no jeans or shorts though please). Think of regular wedding garb (slacks, suits, dresses, jumpsuits, rompers) but with a playful, creative twist. It’s formal—but not too serious. Think bold colors, fun patterns, statement accessories, or anything that shows off your personality while still feeling dressed up for a celebration. Got something fun in your closet that you've been dying to wear but haven't found the right moment? This is it! We would love for you to get funky with us!

Question

What if I have food allergies or restrictions?

Answer

Please include your meal preferences on your RSVP but also feel free to send Monica a text at 727-204-6656 so she can make a note for the meals/caterers.

Question

Do I have to participate in karaoke Friday night?

Answer

Of course not! But if you want to grace us with your vocals we would love that. We'll have a wig and prop table for those who want to sing and dress up. Word on the street is Alex will be singing a solo 2 part melody.

Question

Will there be parking?

Answer

Yes, there is plenty of parking onsite. However, we encourage everyone to carpool as much as possible if they are able.

Question

Will you be feeding us all weekend?

Answer

We plan to include the following meals for our guests over the weekend: dinner Friday evening, breakfast, lunch, and dinner Saturday, and coffee/tea pastries Sunday before checkout. We will also have some light snacks available in the communal lodge. Please feel free to bring any additional food or snacks that you may want.

Question

Will you be serving alcohol at the wedding?

Answer

We will have wine and beer available Friday and Saturday. Feel free to bring anything else you may want to drink throughout the weekend.

Question

What is Trout Creek Wilderness Lodge and why did you choose it as your venue?

Answer

From the moment we first stepped foot at Trout Creek Wilderness Lodge, we knew it was the place we wanted to get married. There’s an undeniable magic here—standing among towering centuries-old trees, listening to the creek and river weave their way through the forest, you can feel the land’s history and spirit. This place has been in the same family since 1916, and they’ve worked to protect it through a conservation easement, ensuring its old-growth forest and ecological integrity remain untouched. TCWL encompasses more than a mile of riverfront along both sides of the Molalla River, plus a half mile on either side of Trout Creek. The land has never been logged or significantly altered, making it one of the rare remnants of true old-growth forest—just 4% of which still exists in the U.S. Adding to its charm, each cabin, the community lodge, and the grand bathhouse were lovingly built by hand by the family, using only a few trees harvested from the property. We can’t wait for you to experience this extraordinary place with us!
