This story begins on a boat in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico. Scott was perusing the dating app, Hinge and upon opening the app Jennifer's profile crossed his screen. He sent her a like in hopes that she'd respond soon. Meanwhile, over in Bedford, TX, Jennifer was scrolling through Hinge when she noticed Scott had swiped right on her. She didn’t rush to swipe back—after all, it’s only fair to let him sweat a little. Eventually, though, she decided to match with him and even sent the first message: “Here is my opening line, __________!” Scott and Jennifer began talking and decided to make plans to see each other the first Saturday he was off the boat. Since this was the first time they were meeting, Jennifer had to share her location with her friends Elissia and Anna... just on that off chance that Scott was a serial killer. Their date went so well that it stretched from Putt-Putt and Drinks, to Pizza and Ice Cream, then capped off with a movie. What was meant to be a 1-2 hour date had become well over 5 hours. Text and phone calls from worried friends couldn't pull them away from their marathon date.
