Travel Note

The Steamship Authority

The Steamship is certainly the most classic way to get from the Cape to Nantucket. The Hyannis -> Nantucket ferries come in 2 options: The Traditional (slow) Ferry, taking 2 hours and 15 minutes, or the Fast Ferry, taking just 1 hour. If you're looking to experience both, why not purchase the combo ticket? It's a great savings! The slow boat is your best option for bringing your vehicle to the island; make sure to make a reservation!

Travel Note

Hy-Line Cruises

The Hy-Line is your other option for ferries. This company only offers fast (1 hour) boats, and does not offer car carry over options. If you choose to not bring a car over, this is a great, quick option. The boats are modern, clean and comfortable.

Flight

Barnstable Municipal Airport

If coming over from Hyannis, Cape Air/Nantucket Airlines are the ones to look out for here! Taking only 22 minutes, this is by far the quickest option to get over to the island. Those with motion sickness/that are claustrophobic be warned: these are little 6 seater planes. If coming from Boston, JetBlue will get you to the island in just 49 minutes!

Rental Car

Hertz Nantucket

This is your typical Hertz rental branch, and it being located in the Nantucket Memorial Airport makes it that much easier to use! Make sure you book ahead for these!

Rental Car

Affordable Rentals

Another car rental company, another great option! Again, make sure to book this ahead of time!

The Nantucket Hotel + Resort

If you're looking for the amenities of a hotel, with classic island charm, look no further! The Nantucket Hotel + Resort is conveniently located downtown, with an abundance of room/suite options, as well as a pool, shuttles, and a great restaurant!

House Or Rental

Lucie Cristler (of Maury People, Sotheby's)

Lucie is a long time friend of Molly's family, and was able to find the perfect house for Will's family to stay in and enjoy while on island for the wedding. Her phone number is: (508) 241- 2997

Train

The WAVE

The WAVE is the islands public shuttle system, it's a great way to get around the island, with convenient pick up/drop off locations, frequent trips being made, and at a great price point; it's what the Pollock kids used every summer to get around!
