When Vinnie and I attended Olivet Nazarene University we went into freshman year not knowing each other. I had met Vinnie through my roommate at the time and as time went by we got closer. We went on little coffee runs, target runs, and even went to the movies with friends. Eventually, we both gained feelings for each other and we officially started dating 09/14/2019. Our first official date was at the Kankakee state park where we went by a lake and talked. As we were leaving the area I slipped off some stepping rocks into the water, great first impression. Despite my clumsiness, Vinnie still loved me through it all. Vinnie is my best friend and I am forever thankful that I got to meet him

After dating each other for 3 years, Vinnie and I knew that we wanted to spend forever with each other. We live 1 1/2 hours away from each other so we can only visit each other every other weekend. The day he proposed to me I was told that our friend was taking photos, I didn't really think much of it. When I got to Ottawa, our friends picked us up and we had drove to Starved Rock State Park. There was a specific location that Vinnie had chosen, it was where the bluebells blossom. When we got to the location we got our photos taken and the next thing I know Vinnie starts to get down on one knee, I was shocked and so happy. The whole thing was perfect and I am ready to spend forever with my best friend
