We want to thank all of you who have shown us an outpouring of love and support in what was less than the ideal engagement year. We thought long and hard and decided we wouldn't want to have our wedding any other way than the way we dreamed it to be. We want to be able to drink, dance, sing, hug, and celebrate the way we imagined and that just wasn't possible while also keeping everyone safe this September! We have a new wedding date and hope with another year under our belts, we will be able to get together and have the most epic summer wedding bash in July of 2021. We will send out new invites but feel free to update your RSVP on the website any time All our love, Sean and Molly
It's been a wild ride! We've known each other for....some time ;) To put it into perspective it was the year that Justin Timberlake decided he was going to "Bring Sexy Back", Molly would later burn Sean a copy of this album (whoa, an album, what's that???) Before Netflix was streaming anything and before Tony Stark said, "I am Iron Man." Our budding romance started when we caught eyes from across the restaurant where we were both working, and which is formerly known as Red Rock Canyon Grill. What would be flirty eyes and conversations and maybe a few olives thrown from the bar to the host stand would eventually turn into our first date at Chevy's which was not too far from our current home. While Chevy's is long gone, our love for a good Mexican dinner, margaritas and corona lights and our love for each other remains. Fast forward to today, we've been lucky enough to grow up together. We've achieved personal goals in higher education and have definitely developed a love for what we consider the finer things in life. Those typically include trips to the beach, spending time with family and friends, and of course LOTS of crab picking. No day is complete without coming home to who Sean refers to as our "sausage pup," Riley! He's got the biggest personality you've ever seen in a 4 legged fur child. Together, we enjoy Shark Tank and Marvel movies (we've been to every movie's midnight showing because we can't chance spoilers the next day!), binging new TV shows, engaging in friendly competition, dining out and trying new restaurants, and traveling to new places together! We love all of you and cant wait to create an entire lifetime of memories as we enter this next phase
It was a Sunday Funday like any other... We were supposed to be attending a friends birthday at a nearby bar where we planned on catching the Redskins game! Earlier that morning Molly, loving all things Christmas, mentioned that they should take a trip to the pop up Christmas bar in D.C. before the holiday season ended. Oddly easy to convince Sean agreed and said they could head down after the birthday party that day. Upon arrival to the first bar, the parking lot seemed oddly empty, we quickly checked the date of the party and realized we were a week early...we decided to head in and catch the game anyway and grab some lunch before heading downtown. We headed downtown and around 7, we had finally made our way to the front of the line to get into the Christmas bar which was decked out in a Christmas Nationals theme to celebrate their World Series win! We enjoyed some Christmas themed cocktails, but the bar was crowded and we decided we should probably head out and grab some dinner. We found a local spot around the corner with good reviews on Google and headed over. We enjoyed dinner the same way we had many nights before and decided it was getting late and time to head home. We walked out of the restaurant and Sean grabbed Molly's hand and said lets go this way, pointing out a beautifully lit tree on a quiet corner in DC. Sean told Molly to stand in front of the tree for a photo (not awkward at all...) and Molly told him to get in the picture, a few selfies later and after a speech I'm not sure either one of us 100% remember, Molly, completely caught off guard by the fact that Sean had been carrying that ring around ALL DAY, said YES to a long awaited and yet perfectly timed proposal!
