Our Story

From mission trip to marriage

Rockwell and Molly met as toddlers while their moms attended a bible study group at First Baptist Church of Ocala. They spent time together as kids but started kindergarten at different schools and went their separate ways. Twelve years later, the Lord re-connected them while on a mission trip to Peru. In the months following the trip, they quickly became best friends and spent a lot of time together. In September 2018, Rockwell admitted to Molly that he had devised an elaborate plan to ask her to be his girlfriend, but the plan had fallen through. Flattered, but also growing impatient, she responded, "That's sweet, but just ask me to be your girlfriend." Seizing the easy opportunity he replied, "Oh okay... Do you want to be my girlfriend?" Romantic, right? Little did they know that 4 years and 3 months later, they would be saying "I do" to a lifetime of loving each other as husband and wife.

The Proposal

On December 12, 2021, Rockwell told Molly that he wanted to take her to dinner and then walk around town and look at Christmas lights. While on the way to dinner, he first had to make a quick stop for work. While at his so-called "work stop," music started playing in the distance, and Molly noticed that it was one of their favorite songs. Rockwell walked over to her and pulled a blindfold out of his pocket saying, "I need you to put this on." As they walked over to the spot where he had everything set up, he told her how he had always envisioned bringing her back the exact place they had re-connected 4 years prior. Upon taking off the blindfold, she found him down on one knee.
