Walk along the coast

Walk along Paseo Del Mar in between Point Fermin Park and White Point Nature Preserve. There are small paths that cut down to the rocky beach below. One path intersects at S. Meyler St. and the other one is at S. Leland St. You can also walk through White Point Nature Preserve to Royal Palms Beach.

Cabrillo Marine Aquarium

Small aquarium by the beach with a good coffee shop.

Los Angeles Maritime Museum

The Queen Mary

Grab a drink at the observation bar and explore the historic British passenger ship.

4th Street Corridor

"Retro Row," an excellent strip of vintage shops and restaurants in Long Beach.

Catalina Island

Day trip: take a one hour ferry ride from San Pedro or Long Beach!
