Although all of the venues are walking distance from the recommended hotels, we will also have shuttle service on Friday & Saturday. On Saturday, the buses will run loops from the Morris Inn and the parking lot shared by the Fairfield Inn and the Embassy Suites. Starting at ~1:45pm, there will be buses that pick up from the Morris Inn and the parking lot shared by the Fairfield Inn and the Embassy Suites to shuttle guests to the Ceremony at the Basilica. Buses will also be available to shuttle guests from the Ceremony to the Reception. Finally, buses will be available to provide transport home to the three hotels starting around 8:50pm and ending with one final route at the end of the reception. Just ask our wedding coordinators if you need a ride earlier than 8:50pm! Guests may also drive to the Ceremony and Reception. For the Ceremony, please instruct the attendants at the North Gate that you are attending a wedding at the Basilica and proceed to park in the Basilica lot. For the reception, please park in the stadium lot.
Notre Dame is located in the Eastern time zone. For those traveling into or from Chicago, please note that Chicago is in the Central time zone.
- Stop by the Grotto to say a prayer and light a candle - Take a picture in front of the Golden Dome (you can't miss it - called "Main Building") - Throw up your best touchdown arms in front of the Touchdown Jesus mural at Hesburgh Library - Walk around the beautiful lakes on campus (St. Mary's and St. Joseph's Lakes) - Visit South Dining Hall (some say it looks like Hogwarts) - Maybe even swing by Molly and Pete's old dorms on campus: Lewis Hall (Behind the Golden Dome), Dillon Hall (South Quad), St. Edward's Hall (Just East of the Golden Dome)
The Eck Visitors Center’s free public tour offers a historical and social overview of life at Notre Dame. Most tours will include visits to the Grotto, Basilica of the Sacred Heart, Main Building (the Golden Dome), and the Hesburgh Library (“Touchdown Jesus”). Guided public tours are available at various times throughout the year. Groups of 10 or more must arrange for a private tour. Tours are limited to the first 25 people who register within 30 minutes of the tour in person at the Eck Visitors Center. Advance reservations and telephone reservations are not accepted. Tours of Notre Dame Stadium are scheduled separately. For details on scheduling a stadium tour, see the following link: https://und.com/stadium-experiences/
