We met online through Hinge. Paul liked the photo with ice cream in it, and his first message was "mint chocolate chip, I presume?" Our first date was dinner at BJ's, followed by a tour of the Denver Aquarium. I started to have a pretty good feeling when he brought out a homegrown watermelon from his trunk after he asked what my favorite fruit was! - Molly
One of the best parts about Paul is his calming presence. He's quick to laugh and ask questions, and doesn't take himself too seriously. After we started dating, I noticed my perspective was shifting to see the bright side more often in each day. I owe that to Paul and how he leads our conversations. I can't wait to share funny moments from my day so we can laugh together! He's got a wonderful giggle. Paul's also a wonderful decision-making partner and keeps me grounded in the truth that it is God who holds our future, and when problems arise...we'll get there when we get there... - Molly
It was time for me to ask the love of my life a very important question. I wanted to do it in a special place that had some meaning to us. I remembered that Molly took me to Barr Lake State Park in Brighton for Valentine's Day to look for bald eagles (they're my favorite!) With the help of Molly's best friend Liz, I was able to find the perfect spot to ask Molly if she wanted to spend the rest of her life with me. Liz helped me make up fake plans to get Molly out to the park. I knew it would be special for Molly to have Liz there for the engagement. So with lots of bug spray, sunscreen, and the help of her husband David, Liz was able to take pictures in the moment and have a short engagement photo session afterwards. -Paul
