July 2nd 2015, enter two hopeful young ladies, eager to begin a new adventure, to a large conference room in LA. A couple hours later after countless icebreakers, one of which left Michelle thinking "who only brought one suitcase, I'm not going to like that person"... spoiler it was Molly. Never the less, Molly entered the hotel room to see that Michelle was her roommate. An immediate high five was thrown into the air, which Michelle returned with fervor. She obviously hadn't figured out that Molly was the one suitcaser. Before going to sleep that night Michelle looked at Molly and said, "Hey... will you make sure I get up tomorrow" Molly agreed, not knowing this was a forever arrangement. McCormick and McKinley meant they would be thrown together for the entire trip from the US to the Philippines, Molly thinking she'd get to know her fellow peace corps volunteer over the 15 hour trip... Michelle thinking (and saying), "Hey... will you wake me up when they bring the food around". If that isn't love at first go, then we must be reading different fairy tales. They landed, and began their Peace Corps experience in the Philippines, spending the next two weeks as roommates during what the volunteers liked to call "Camp Peace Corp". Their friendship would blossom, and then they were shipped to different cities for technical training. Two months later the two would continue to stay in touch and build their friendship only to be placed at their 2 year sites 15 hours from one another. Distance didn't seem to hamper things, and by Christmas the two decided maybe they'd take the friendship to next level. Despite Michelle's solo adventurer hopes, Molly had tied her bandwagon on and a solo two year trip turned into a duo for a lifetime.

Back to the states we came, and the real world that awaited us. Our sights were set on Virginia, and after 7 short months hanging out with our original roommates we finally made it to Richmond. After 7 long months of job hunting Molly landing a position with the YMCA... after a couple of days of hanging out in Richmond Shel also landed a position with the YMCA. We moved in to our townhouse in historic Churchill, and started the adventures of cohabitating. Exploring all over and getting in some much needed niece/nephew time, we fell in love with Virginia (must be why it's for lovers). Life throws curve balls though, and with heartbreak striking, Michelle and Molly were challenged to share/grow in this new found curve. We packed the jeep up with all the plants and headed back to Minnesota. And our love continued, as did our adventures. Hiking, camping, kayaking, oh my! We're just so excited to start the next level of a lifetime together.
