Molly and Mike first met during the fall after they both graduated from Boston College. They met in a big group of BC friends gathering in the Seaport. They each had planned on catching up with old friends, but were surprised to make a new one. They both felt a special attraction right away, but had a series of missed connections over the next month or so. They finally crossed paths again on New Year's Eve, where they shared their first kiss at midnight.
Molly asked Mike out on their first date shortly after New Years. A Thursday night drink at The Fours in Norwell led to multiple hours spent getting to know each other over Buffalo chicken nachos.
Almost five years later, Mike proposed to Molly after months of planning. He surprised her with flowers on a bridge in the Seaport, where they had walked on the night they met. Both of their families were in on the surprise and were waiting close by. Mike had even coordinated a few friends to be their secret photographers. Molly was truly surprised and excited to say yes!
We both have always said that our people are the most important parts of our lives. When we imagined our wedding day, we thought of it as a unique opportunity to bring together all of the people that we love in one place. Unfortunately, that is impossible at this time, but we know that there will be plenty of opportunities to celebrate together in the future.
