The estimated guest count is 50-60 guests.
Face masks are required whenever guests are not eating/drinking. Feel free to bring your own, but disposable masks will also be provided.
The venue for the ceremony (the Church of Saint Monica) can accommodate 250 people. With 50 guests, the Church would be operating at 20% capacity. Every other pew will be unoccupied and roped off to promote social distancing. Our reception venue (Philander Chase Knox Estate) has a capacity of 200 guests for a covered, outdoor celebration. With 50 guests, the venue would be operating at 25% capacity. The main event takes place in a 50 x 80 ft. tent., but guests can mingle on the slate patio, roam the Valley Forge Park grounds, or choose to enjoy the airconditioned indoor space of the estate. Bathrooms are available both inside the estate or inside the tent.
Guests also have the option to join us virtually as we exchange our vows during our wedding ceremony from 4:15pm to 5pm. Below is the link to live-stream our nuptials from the comfort and safety of your homes. We are grateful to be able to share our love, happiness, and the excitement of the beginning of our new life together with our family and friends attending virtually or in person. Thank you for being a part of our special day and celebrating with us! The reception will not be live-streamed due to limited connectivity in Valley Forge Park.
We will be taking necessary precautions to ensure a safe and joyous celebration. With only 50-60 guests in attendance, we will be at less than 30% capacity at both the church and reception venues. The church is indoors with socially distanced seating. The reception is an outdoor, tented venue (rain or shine). Guests are encouraged to bring their own face masks, but disposable masks will also be provided. We ask that masks are worn when guests are not eating or drinking. The venue will also have socially distant seating. There will be no assigned tables: eat what you want, where you want, and when you want. Sanitizing stations will be available around the venue as well, and frequent hand washing is always encouraged. Color-coded wristbands will also be provided and used to signal guests' comfort levels with physical proximity/contact with others.
