San Diego Zoo
We have zoo passes, so if you plan a day trip, then feel free to invite us! Located approximately 4 miles from the Mission Valley area.
San Diego Zoo Safari Park
Our zoo passes also get us in to the Safari Park, so if we're available we'd love to join! Also, if you're up for it, the ropes course and zipline within the park are a blast! Located approximately 27 miles from the Mission Valley area.
Balboa Park
This is a gorgeous place to walk around, located walking distance from the San Diego Zoo. There are also plenty of museums on the grounds. Some of our favorites are the Fleet Science Center or the Natural History Museum. Located approximately 4 miles from the Mission Valley area. *This is where we got engaged!
Petco Park
Summer is baseball season, so if you want to see the Padres play, then check out a game at Petco Park! Located approximately 9 miles from the Mission Valley area.
SeaWorld San Diego
This could be a fun family day trip! Located approximately 8 miles from the Mission Valley area.
Old Town
Located in the heart of historic San Diego, Old Town offers a glimpse of what life was like for the early settlers of San Diego. There are tons of great Mexican restaurants, gift shops, and a variety of museums/historic buildings to visit! Located approximately 5 miles from the Mission Valley area.
Coronado Island
Coronado island is a quaint seaside escape located just off the coast of San Diego. The small island is reachable by bridge or a short ferry ride. You can visit the beach, park, or eat at any of their spectacular restaurants. Located approximately 13 miles from the Mission Valley area.
Liberty Station
Liberty Station is a former Navy barracks that has been transformed into a series of shops and restaurants. There is a public market where you can wander around and try different foods from local vendors and lots of outdoor park area where you can enjoy the sunshine. Located approximately 7 miles from the Mission Valley area.
Gaslamp Quarter - The Historic Heart Of San Diego
If you're looking for a fun night out, then the Gaslamp District is the place to visit! There are a variety of restaurants, bars, and clubs if you want to experience the San Diego night-life scene. Located approximately 9 miles from the Mission Valley area.
San Diego County Fair
This pop-up fair happens every summer from early June to early July (typically ending on July 4). If you're in town before the wedding and feel like eating some fried food or playing some carnival-style games, be sure to check it out! Located approximately 20 miles from the Mission Valley area.

Little Italy offers a variety of Italian eateries, breweries, bars, and tasting rooms. One of our favorites is Princess Pub and Grille for authentic British cuisine!
