Our Story

A hike as our first date, many more adventures since, and many more to come!

After a routine dentist appointment chatting with her dental hygienist about an upcoming backpacking trip she and some friends were going on, Molly didn't think too much about handing over her number when Ann said her son Mark was looking for a hiking buddy. And lo and behold, Mark did text, and was very patient as days would go by while Molly was working night shift at the time. After a hike as their first date and a summer spent together walking Mark's yellow lab Charlie, adventures around Mansfield and Akron, and lots of laughs, Molly and Mark became "official" on August 9, 2017! And of course, Molly left for a travel nursing assignment in Flagstaff, AZ on September 16, 2017! Mark came to visit twice and they expanded their list of National Parks visited (adding Zion and Grand Canyon to the list!), and after it was all said and done they made it through long distance even stronger! After years of long distance, then shorter long distance (Mansfield and Akron), and opposite shifts, Mark and Molly finally moved in together in October of 2020 and finally both were on day shift as of March 2021! Mark proposed to Molly on a gorgeous hike next to Bowman Lake in Glacier National Park, and the adventures keep rolling! Their intimate wedding is set for April 15, 2023, with immediate family at the Ohio Bird Sanctuary, and their reception is set for September 9, 2023, with friends and family at Trillium Event Center. We are thrilled to have you all in our lives, and we can't thank you enough for all your love and support throughout our lives together -- now and always!

For all the days along the way
