On a warm September evening, Marco and Molly joined a group of mutual friends for a DC burger fest. At this point they were just classmates and acquaintances; Molly may not have even been sure of his name. The group ended the evening with a drink at a bar and Marco made quite an impression on Molly with their spirited discussion of the Great Gatsby. She found herself wanting to talk more to this boy about books and everything else.
After exchanging flurries of texts, Molly worked up enough courage to ask Marco out. They met at the metro and headed to check out the Newseum. Neither seemed ready to go home, so they continued their afternoon at the National Gallery of Art, the National Mall, and wandering the streets of DC. 8 hours later when they finally parted ways, Marco realized there might be something more going on than a platonic friendship.
The annual Cherry Blossom Festival has always been a special time in DC and it was about to get a whole lot more epic. Due to giving some assistance with ring shopping and receiving a small suggestion of a manicure, Molly could venture a guess as to what was coming next. However, between the crowds and hanger, Marco figured an afternoon proposal at the Tidal Basin might end up with him trampled and Molly overwhelmed in not a good way. So they returned to Bethesda for a siesta and returned at dusk for a stroll down memory lane at the National Mall. She said "Yes," and the rest will soon be their history!
