Feel like doing some easy hiking in the Colorado Mountains? Visit where we got engaged at Echo Lake Park. Be aware that this is a high altitude location (altitude sickness is no joke), but there are plenty of stops along the way up the mountain that are also beautiful. Be sure to stop in the cute town of Idaho Springs on your way down the mountain for cute shops and good food. The Cidery is one of our favorite spots!
Want to be on top of the world without having to hike at all? Drive the highest paved road in North America towards the summit of Mount Blue Sky (formerly Mt. Evans). Enjoy several stops along the way and a short (but rigorous hike) to the summit. NOTE: prepare to purchase a parking pass in advance (use link below), prepare to get there EARLY, and prepare for winds and cold weather! Be sure to check for day-of weather-related road closures.
Come visit the OTHER Denver Botanic Gardens- this one located downtown! This is Molly's favorite spot to have found in Denver so far.
One of the coolest stores in town! Part costume-shop, part game (card, board, and table-top) store. Every inch of the place is a piece of art! There's a lot to do around this stretch of Broadway as well!
