In Rambouillet: Chateau de Rambouillet
Just across the street from Hotel Mercure Rambouillet and known for remarkable architecture, Marie-Antoinette’s famous dairy, and rich history. Visit for 7-11€ or enjoy a stroll around!
In Versailles: Palace of Versailles
A must-see and great place to visit from Paris en route to Rambouillet. We know it better for the Paris-Versailles 16k race en famille (which if you're from the area or plan to stick around, will be September 28th, 2026!)
In Paris: Mezcaleria (our favorite cocktail bar!)
Shhh, it's a speakeasy! Walk into the hotel lobby and towards the back on the left-hand side, through the hotel kitchen to the secret door in the back for hand-crafted, unique mezcal cocktails.
In Paris: Les Papilles (our favorite restaurant!)
A wine store that also has the best multi course meal. Excellent, traditional French food with a menu that changes daily! There's limited seating so we recommend calling ahead for a reservation.
In Paris: La Fromentine (our favorite bakery!)
A bit out of the way in Boulogne but worth it if you find yourself in the area. Down the street from Louis' first apartment and always has a line out the door!
In Paris: Jardin du Luxembourg (our favorite park!)
The perfect place to enjoy the sun on a green chair, read, watch small sailing boats on the pond, go for a walk, or discover the Palais du Luxembourg (home of the French Senate). It's also a place where many love stories have begun, including some in Louis’ family. Located in the heart of Paris, it’s an easy and beautiful starting point to continue exploring the city.
In Paris: The Moose (our favorite sports bar!)
Where we watched the Hoosiers win the Rose Bowl! Perfect to catch any game but especially American-friendly, streaming both college and NFL games. DM them on Instagram beforehand if there's a specific game you're looking to watch to ensure they can air it.
