What should I wear to the wedding?
Answer
The wedding is semi-formal. For women: a dress (cocktail, midi, or long), a suit, or slacks with a nice blouse. For men: a suit or dress pants with a button-down (tie and jacket optional). We encourage guests to wear summer colors and floral patterns + comfy shoes! The reception will be outdoors on the portage canal, guests will be walking on grass and there will be canoeing opportunities... If you have any questions, feel free to ask us.

Do I need to rent a car for the weekend?

Up to you! Downtown Houghton is very walkable, but if you would like to explore further into the Keweenaw Peninsula, we would recommend renting a car for the weekend or carpooling with other guests. The wedding venue a 10-15 minute drive from downtown Houghton. We recommend carpooling, renting a car, or Lyft. We do not have a shuttle option at this time.

Can I drive to the venue?
Answer
Yes! Our venue has limited parking on the property but you are welcome to park along the street. There are private homeowners nearby, so we ask that our guests are respectful and do not block the road.

Where should I stay?
Answer
We recommend Airbnb as they offer more flexible options. If you are interested in camping for the weekend, we recommend McLain State Park. If you are looking to car camp (for free) for the weekend, please feel free to reach out and we can recommend some good spots.
