We have Justin’s wonderful family to thank for the way the two met. After months of unsuccessful attempts, Justin’s sisters FINALLY convinced him to go out to a local brewery in Zebulon, NC for some craft beers and karaoke. Molly, at the time, had picked up a weekend part time job as a bartender at Mythic Brewing for fun, and hosted each karaoke night. Justin was pleased that he had accepted his sister's invite when he walked in and saw a vision of perfection working behind the bar. It took a little while for him to work up the courage to speak to something that beautiful, but eventually he visited the bar to say hello. *Section edited by Molly*. It may have been the love of craft beer that caused Justin to visit the bar 5 times.. but and each time he stopped to chat up Molly behind the bar. Justin and Molly stayed chatting at the bar until after clean up and close, and Justin walked Molly back to her car at the end of the night. The two have been side by side since. We later found out that the love of Karaoke is shared by both families, so please get your songs ready as the after party will be epic Karaoke in the Rain-Alternate Barn.
You'll immediately notice that Justin and Molly like to have fun together - and laugh a lot! They both believe life is too short to take life too seriously. And believe you should always make time for laughter. They love to travel to warm places, listen to Reggae music, go to comedy shows (where Justin laughs the loudest in the crowd), and enjoy new experiences and cuisines. Hawaii is their honeymoon destination due to their love of Reggae, relaxation, and beautiful natural scenery.
This commonly debated question amongst the couple was once put to the test. Despite Molly's athletic history of playing Women's tackle football, and Justin having not participated in organized sports in 20+ year and suffering an injury to his ACL - Justin won. Molly's comments, "He is quicker than he looks" and "I didn't have enough time to stretch". Justin's comments, "I am fast AF BOIIIIII". Molly hopes to challenge him again down the aisle.
Okay guys- we love food so we are really excited to share with you this information. Our caterer is Prime Barbecue, a local joint from Knightdale-our neighboring town and this restaurant constantly has a line out the door. While at a wedding expo we tried their food, fell in love, and didn’t leave their table for way too long. When we went to visit the physical restaurant we learned that it is actually a southern barbecue/ Puerto Rican fusion restaurant owned by a Puerto Rican family. Can you believe it!? We could not think of anything more perfect to represent us. We sincerely hope you enjoy :)
Our event is at a beautiful Nordic Lodge- looking barn. The bride is a boho chic, hippie that wanted to get married in the tree grove so it has nature-y, mossy mushroom fairy garden type vibes. But also the groom loves Viking history so there is a bit of that too. And then there’s the lighted trees- so it’s like a dusk-sparkle-fairy-garden-Viking-boho wedding. Got it? Okay great. Semi formal is perfect y’all. Flower crowns encouraged ladies. Early March in Raleigh can be cold, so please consider sleeves or a jacket while outside for comfort.
We want to honor all married couples during our event. Please text Molly at 413-539-7904 your own wedding song, as she would love to take a trip down memory lane with you during the reception. Ceremony: We welcome everyone to celebrate with us. The ceremony is lead by a Christian pastor in alignment with the bride and grooms beliefs.
