Visit all these places to make it a full day: Passport to Peru (best place to shop for Birkenstocks in Cleveland), Mac's Backs (it's a bookstore), Peace Park Playground, Blick Art (it's dog friendly!), then get a bahn mi and drunken noodles at Pho and Rice or a milkshake and fries from Tommy's.
Visit all these places to make it a full day: Start at the Shaker Square Farmers' market if you are here on a Saturday. Then visit Loganberry Books and Oma Vintage for shopping. Eat at Batuqui, Poppy's, or Scorpacciata Pizza. Browse vintage stores and feel the artsy vibes.
Visit all these to make it a full day: Bring a book to Algebra Tea house and enjoy all the tea all day. There is some super unique shopping here at La Bella Vita and Moonstruck Vintage. We also like Murray Hill Market for sandwiches, Corbo's for pastries, and picturesque Lake View Cemetery for a peaceful stroll. Little Italy is on the red line, so if you don't have a car, it would be easy to go and also explore Ohio City / Downtown Cleveland.
Visit all these to make it a full day: Take the red line from Little Italy, or downtown, and you can do lots of fun around Ohio City! We'd recommend grabbing coffee and shopping at Index Coffee. Visit The West Side Market and grab a sausage. You could go shopping at Paradise (there is a slide), and get Mason's Ice Cream (they sell corn dogs too). We like to eat at Larder while we are here or if you are into something fancier, try Le Petit Triangle. If you want an amazing english muffin - head to Ohio City Provisions. Table for Two has some great shopping and Tabletop Games would be a good place to take the family. We like Bookhouse Brewing trivia if you're sticking around!
We go here a lot. The menu changes seasonally so if you've been, you should go back again.
We go here a lot as well. Order the chicken tenders.
One of the best art museums in the country, and it's free!
This is awesome vintage shopping - would recommend a visit just for the slide.
Get the Bahn Mi Sandwich. It's SO GOOD
Our indoor rock climbing go to. It's a Shaker institution frequented by family and friends alike. It's best enjoyed with a friend who is belay certified, you have two friends that are (hint hint - it's Ian and Molly - and we are always there together).
This is just Cleveland 101. Best for any one who has never seen Cleveland!
This book store is the best in Cleveland no doubt.
The books are cheap. The lattes are EXTRAORDINARY. We love it so much.
Underrated. Bring a book. Try all the teas. Molly likes the coconut almond tea. Ian likes the hummus!
We went through a freezer cannoli faze. Where we always had cannoli in the freezer. We recommend you just go and get a fresh one.
This is also a must for first time Cleveland visitors. And walk to the next door downtown library, they often host sick ass exhibits.
Go check it out!
This is super close to Loganberry Books. You can walk here from Shaker Square Farmers' Market
Kinda odd to recommend a cemetery - but it's beautiful. We like the view from the James A Garfield Memorial.
YUMMMMM the sandwiches.
Anything by Doug Katz is recommended. We like this one a lot but it's better to bring all your friends because it's shareable food!
We like this place a lot - they have cheese and meats and fruits and flowers. Check it out in Shaker Square Saturday mornings.
Recommended for brunch. Make reservations.
This is a must visit for ice cream and corndogs.
It's not a dive, it's so much better, with fun drinks and delicious food
Hiking Galore. We like to park at Happy Days, take the tunnel under the road, and hike the ledges trail for a fun short hike. While you are in the area you can also visit downtown Peninsula - there is a coffee shop and a national park visitor center there. You can also rent a bike or a kayak. I'd always recommend visiting Country Maid Ice Cream after any hike.
