Festive attire. It's New Year's Eve, let's have some fun! No tuxedos, please!
For guests staying downtown for Shabbat and need help getting to La Jolla on Sunday, we will gladly arrange for transportation from The Kimpton Solamar to the Hilton Torrey Pines.
Of course! Just let us know when you RSVP.
The Embassy Suites currently has (1) shuttle that transports up to 7 guests; however, they are working to add (2) additional shuttles…which should be completed by the wedding. The shuttles run from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. It runs regularly based on guest requests. Guests would need to call the hotel to be picked up from Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines, unless they reserve it prior to being dropped off. We encourage guests to use it for getting to and from the Welcome Dinner and to the Wedding. An Uber or Lyft is the best option for returning from the Wedding.
Of course! We want you to do whatever is most convenient and economical for you.

Yes! We have some additional rooms at the same group rate that will be available beginning Thursday, December 27th for those who wish to come earlier and stay in one place. Please note though, the hotel is about a 20 minute drive from Downtown San Diego.
It really depends on how much "touring" you want to do. If you are going to be using the car extensively, then yes it is best to rent a car as public transportation is not great in San Diego. However, please note that all the hotels do charge a nightly rate for parking. If you only plan stay around the hotel, with an occasional excursion, then we do not recommend renting a car. Uber and Lyft are not very expensive around here and very accessible. Add to that a slew of new bike and scooter sharing companies that have popped up around the city, makes local transportation cheap, easy and fun!
