When I graduated from Shepherd University, I got my first job as a telemetry nurse at a hospital in Martinsburg, West Virginia. I met a nurse there named Brenda. She insisted I go on a date with her son Chance, but I declined at first. Brenda and I became very close over the next few weeks and she brought up her son again in conversation. She talked so great about him, I decided to finally meet him! Chance and I met in Shepherdstown, WV. I was so nervous I was shaking. He took me out to dinner at Famous Dave’s because it was so busy everywhere we went and then we went out for a drink at a bar. When we both met we just knew- our forever was starting. We were both just so happy we finally found each other ❤️
It was my first Mother’s Day. Chance decided to take my family and I to a winery- The Big Cork. I was so happy that morning because I had a beautiful daughter who was just a month old, and that day we got to celebrate me being a mom to her. When we got there, Chance went to go get a bottle of wine and as he got back to the table he hugged me. He told me he loved me so much and that he would the rest of his life. He then got on his knee and I was so surprised! I immediately smiled with joy and said yes! I will never forget that day. He planned it so perfectly and my ring is so beautiful. I can’t wait to marry you Chance! We are so excited to celebrate our wedding with you. We have been waiting for this day, in what seems like a lifetime. See you soon at the Goldfish Barn!
