Tourists can't hire cars in Bermuda so the best way to explore the island and get around is by hiring a scooter. We recommend using Oleander Cycles.

Brynley's favourite place on the island, Bermuda Aquarium. See and learn about wild creatures from Bermuda and around the world. Located in linked buildings at Flatts Village on the North Shore, this triple-threat attraction houses a range of animals and marine life in naturalistic environments. Plus, you can enjoy great water views of the Harrington Sound and Flatt's Inlet from a coastal walkway.

Feel the City of Hamilton's urban energy and international vibe with a walk down Front Street. The waterfront promenade is the heart of the capital, where quaint colonial buildings painted in pinks, yellows and blues overlook the harbour. myriad of restaurants, pubs and retail shops that sell everything from high-end fashions and jewellery to souvenirs and, of course, rum. During the summer season, head to Front Street on Wednesday evenings for the weekly Harbour Nights festival to see lively Gombey dancers amid street food, family activities and local artisans.

Catch a ferry

Bermuda's ferry system offers an easy, scenic and fun way to get around the island. On the western end of Front Street in the City of Hamilton, the Hamilton Ferry Terminal is the main hub of the ferry system, with three routes starting and ending at this location. The Blue Route offers a direct, 20-minute ride to the Royal Naval Dockyard. The Green Route connects the City of Hamilton to other parts of the West End at Watford Bridge, Cavello Bay and Rockaway. The Orange Route, runs exclusively from the Dockyard to the Town of St. George. Riders can buy tokens, pay cash at the ferry or get a transport pass that allows unlimited rides on all ferries and buses.

There's a beach for every purpose in Bermuda, from lounging in the sun to swimming to hanging out with friends but the ones we recommend are Horseshoe Bay, Warwick Long Bay, Jobson's Cove and Tobacco Bay Beach.
