Things To Do

Foothills Farmers Market

126 West Marion Street, Shelby, NC 28150

We know you probably aren't in the market for fresh produce when you're traveling! But if you're interested in people watching, grabbing coffee or empanadas from the food trucks, or looking at local handmade crafts, gifts, and preserved food products like pickles, preserves, and the like this is a great way to wake up on Saturday morning.

Gypsy Farm Fair at Redbone Willy's

6533 Fallston Rd, Lawndale, NC 28090

Redbone Willy's is a GREAT side trip to take just because it's such an incredible store. Unmatched cowboy hat shopping; INCREDIBLE boots, purses, and leather goods; home decor if you love a little flair. Every year, the store hosts a craft fair on their huge lawn where makers, vintage dealers, and antique pickers from far and wide come set up rows of booths. Again, an incredible way to people watch and hang out on a beautiful day in the country. You MIGHT find an incredible impulse buy that ties your whole wedding look together. If you like turquoise jewelry, one of a kind clothing and jewelry, and a WILD cast of characters, you'll love it here.

Hive Coffee

711 East Marion Street, Shelby, NC 28150

The Hive is the best local coffee roaster and shop. Support the local guys while you're visiting. They have two locations in Shelby and both have the correct vibe for a lazy morning coffee hang.

T’s Tiny Cafe

203-3 West Warren Street, Shelby, NC 28150

Bar none- if you want the craziest grilled cheese you've yet to even imagine, here's your spot. Really sweet family owns this place and they put a lot of care and thought into what they do. Trust me on this- the three bean salad as a side is the move.

Wine Collective

5 North Lafayette Street, Shelby, NC 28150

Is it a wine bar or a coffee shop or a tea house? Yes! For a group that can't agree of if they're going up, coming down, or what beverage is appropriate at what part of the day.
