This natural spring water pool is the perfect spot to cool off during the hot summer months in Texas. Austin and I planned a date to Barton Springs during one of trips back during college. We loved being able to cool off definitely recommend going during the peak hours of 1-5 when it's the warmest. P.S They are open until 10pm if you want to take a light night dip!
The Rainey Street Historic District is a street of historic homes, many of them are bungalow style, in downtown Austin. Essentially they renovated all of the homes on the street into bars which are all completely unique and different from one another. P.S- Our favorite is the Container Bar!
Located on Congress, a famous Austin street. Have brunch and take a stroll after. P.S- Check out the historic shop called Allens Boots down the street. It's a landmark with nearly 40,000 boots on display. Austin and I always go into boot stores on trips to see if there's any hidden gems.
The best burger spot in Austin. They are KNOWN for their burgers, and have so many cool and creative options. It's usually packed with a line out the door.
Another Austin staple. Get the Mexican Vanilla, it's the best!
Now, we WILL be serving BBQ, but, if you're not already tired of it we recommend checking out one of the oldest and most known spots in Austin- The County Line.
One of the best ways to take in the city is to walk Town Lake. Typically, Austin and I would grab a coffee (go to Mozarts) or smoothie (go to JuiceLand). Along the way you'll get to see the lake itself with folks paddle boarding and some of the cities skyline.
