Wedding Party

Natalee Jorgensen

Maid of Honor

Natalee is my little sister and best friend. She really is my hype woman, and the most encouraging person you'll ever meet. She's 100% the goofiest of my four siblings, which has resulted in many late nights of laughing in our shared room. When you meet her, you will admire her sweet and soft-spoken personality, but will quickly find that she is the life of the party. She loves to make people feel special, and I have experienced that first hand many times. Nat doesn't hold back when it comes to giving. She and I have experienced a lot of life together, and watching her grow up has been so neat. Having her stand by my side on this special day is a must.

Johnathan Swaffer

Best Man

John has been my best friend since our freshman year of college. We have spent countless hours listening to music, watching movies, talking about life and personal philosophy, praying, and just being stupid together. We spent two of our years as roommates, and that was filled with lots of laughs--and LOTS of singing. We have always agreed that we are the most unlikely friends, and would never have expected to remain this close all four years. But I could not imagine anyone else that I would want by my side on my big day. John has supported and encouraged me in the good times and the bad and I am so thankful for his godly testimony and friendship.

Holly Butaud

Matron of Honor

Holly is my oldest friend in the bridal crew. We met in high school and became best friends very quickly. We lived about 2 minutes from each other for most of our early friendship, and spent many an afternoon or Saturday at each other's houses. We bonded over our love for coffee and chick flicks. We've stayed close ever since, texting, snapchatting, keeping in touch better than I think either of us thought possible. I was privileged to be Holly’s maid of honor on her wedding day, making it even more special to have her in a position of honor next to me on mine. It truly wouldn't be the same without Holl on this special day.

Daniel Bell

Groomsman

Daniel and I's relationship began when he was put into my Discipleship Group his freshman year. My first impression of him was that he was an awkward, sheltered missionary kid from Spain who I would need to take under my wing....well, nothing could be further from the truth. I soon found out that he was a super fun guy who loved to laugh and talk about life until 3am--which completely wrecked both of our sleep schedules my sophomore (and his freshman) year. Daniel is someone you can always count on to pray for you and check in on your physical well-being and your spiritual walk. I am so thankful to have him as a part of my wedding day.

Anne Smith

Bridesmaid

Anne and I met in our freshman year of college. We lived down the hall from each other in the dorms and both studied music at Bob Jones. It didn't take us long to find things in common (love for music, our senses of humor, love for coffee). We could honestly do anything together, from laying in bed watching movies, to making last-minute late-night trips to QT for a pop before a long night of studying, which was quite often. Anne is my best friend and one of my biggest supporters. It's so special that we are both getting married this year. It has been so sweet getting to share the adventure of wedding planning.

Trevin Ascher

Groomsman

My first memory of Trevin is hearing his amazing voice during Bible Conference my freshman year. We began our friendship when we were both understudies for the lead roles in Tale of Two Cities: the Musical at BJU when I was sophomore and he was a GA. I found myself hanging out in his office a lot that semester, and we became quick friends. He was always a friend that would kindly listen as I asked for advice. Now, he is the friend who sadly lives far away, but one that every-so-often I will find myself on a 2-hour phone call with. His consistent support and godly friendship, despite the distance, has meant a whole lot to me, and I'm so excited to have him as a groomsman.

Katie Johnson

Bridesmaid

I met Katie freshman year of college. She was Anne's roommate, we shared the same degree and quickly became friends. We had many late nights hanging out and laughing, she made me laugh like no one else could - she still does. Without Katie, I probably would not have survived our music classes. That is no exaggeration! Katie was the teacher that I'd go see instead of using the actual teacher's office hours, and I still passed all my classes. Katie is a teacher now, inspiring and sharing wisdom with her own students (but I have to say, I gave her good practice lol). Beyond that, Katie is the most positive, caring, and inspiring friend, which is why she's standing by my side on this special day.

Josiah Swaffer

Groomsman

The first time I met Josiah, I knew him as "John's younger brother." I accompanied him for BJU High School Festival when he was a senior, and he recalls that the only thing he remembers about me is that I was wearing burgundy pants, which--at the time--he thought was "weird." But the next year, he came to BJU as a freshman and was in John and I's Discipleship Group, and we became close friends. I always say that Josiah is my closest friend that I never see around campus because he does Bruins Golf and I am usually in rehearsal! :) Some of my favorite memories with Josiah were times when we would just sit and talk about life during our semester as roommates. I'm thankful that he can support me on this special day!

Rachel Stoner

Bridesmaid

Rachel and I met freshman year of college through a mutual friend who told us we needed to meet. I am so glad we did, because we have only gotten closer as the years have gone by. Rachel is that friend who you can be your weirdest around and never be judged. I know because she's seen me at my weirdest and we're still friends ;) We were roommates for our senior year and she has become one of my best friends. She is someone I can share my heart with and know I'll will be supported and loved. Forever my music buddy for life. I am thrilled to have Rachel as a bridesmaid on my special day.

Michael Adams

Groomsman

My first time meeting Michael Adams was actually last year during a rehearsal for our spring opera. I found out that he was a new freshman, so I decided to introduce myself to him. I soon found out that his voice could blow you away--which actually happened once when I was accompanying him and I literally fell of the piano bench when he sang a high C. I've often told him that if he weren't such a nice guy, I would hate him. :) He has been a huge encouragement to me this past year, and being roommates with him this past semester has been a crazy fun time. I'm so thankful for Michael's close friendship in such a short amount of time, and I'm thrilled to have him in my wedding party.

Annie Jorgensen

Bridesmaid

Annie and I met when I came to college, and she was dating my brother. From the beginning, she was a supportive friend to me and helped me acclimate to college life, always making herself available if I ever needed help. After she graduated, she and my brother got married, and she has grown from friend to sister, but not just legally. There are few people as supportive and self-giving as Annie is. I have been so encouraged and felt so loved by her as I've planned and gotten ready for my wedding day. I am so glad to have her be part of this special time.

Josiah Barr

Groomsman

I met Josiah on the day he was born in 2011. He was 0 and I was 11. :) Like some of the others, we were also roommates for a few years, but we were much younger and we bonded over our favorite hobby: annoying each other. But just like any siblings, I can honestly say that we've spent 12 years laughing together too. An 11-year gap is definitely a big one--especially with no one in-between, but I wouldn't want to get married without my buddy by my side. I'm excited to see where the Lord leads him in the future, which I've told him--MANY times--is Bob Jones University :)
