Our story starts where any true romance begins—the top deck at Mario’s Shadyside. One night in June of 2021, while both out with friends, Alex built up the courage to walk up to Molly and approach her. And as they say, the rest was history! Shortly after we began dating, Molly had already coincidentally made plans to move to Shadyside—just a few blocks away from where Alex was living at the time—and the two became inseparable. From dinners and events to frequent walks throughout the neighborhood, our bond continued to grow stronger. And while living just down the street was nice, it was still too far. That’s why, a couple years later, we decided to move into our first apartment together. It’s at this point where Alex truly learned about what keeping an apartment clean really meant, and where Molly realized just how many sporting events are on TV every day. And while the plan was to continue renting a bit longer, that plan was fast-tracked when we found a home we couldn’t pass up and became homeowners in the spring of 2024. After months of work and updates it became a place that was very special to us, a place that only grew more special when Alex surprised Molly with a proposal in their living room on June 20, 2024, just over three years from the day they first met.
