Question

What is the dress code for the ceremony/reception?

Answer

Cocktail attire, please! A suit or a sport coat, dress shirt and slacks for the men. We're pretty casual in the Southwest, so ties are completely optional. Ladies, a cocktail dress or a nice pantsuit would be perfect. Please keep in mind that the temperature will drop as the sun sets so you might want a light wrap.

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

We’re so excited to celebrate with you! To keep things cozy and personal, we’re only able to invite those listed on the invitation. We can’t wait to laugh, dance, and make memories together!

Question

What's the weather like in Albuquerque?

Answer

Usually pretty glorious! Expect lots of sun, low humidity, and maybe a bit of wind. The highs in May are normally in the 70s or low 80s. Keep in mind that Albuquerque sits at 5,300 feet above sea level so the sun can be pretty intense. It will cool off quite a bit at night, so plan to pack some layers.

Question

Where's the nearest airport?

Answer

The Albuquerque International Sunport is located about 20 minutes from Sandia Resort and Casino. It has recently been renovated and it's a jewel! You'll love the distinct southwestern architecture and cultural décor. Served by 8 major carriers, the Sunport offers non-stop service between ABQ and more than 32 destinations. We hope your city is one of them!

Question

How far is Santa Fe?

Answer

Santa Fe, the capital of New Mexico, is roughly 60 miles from Albuquerque. You can drive there in less than an hour or take the Rail Runner, a commuter train that provides a fast, reliable way to get there and will drop you off an easy walk to the historic plaza. There's a plethora of things to enjoy in Santa Fe so just let us know if you need recommendations!

Question

Why do people keep asking me "Red or Green?"

Answer

New Mexico is the chile capital of the world. We want to know whether you prefer red chile or green chile. (Don't worry, there's not a right or wrong answer like there is for the Alabama/Auburn question. WAR EAGLE!) If you get confused, just say, "Christmas!" It means you like both red and green.
