We're getting married!

We met in our first-year seminar at Pomona College titled "Baseball in America." Peyton's decision to take that seminar is self-explanatory. Molly's decision was cemented when her mom suggested it might be a great way to find a boyfriend. Little did she know that just 11 short years later, she would marry the cute boy from that very same class. Although we met at the beginning of college, we didn't start dating until our junior year. From then through the end of college, we enjoyed classes together (keeping tally of who got better grades, of course), cheering each other on at sports events (Molly even got a job running the baseball scoreboard), and a summer interning in Southern California. After college came grad school, new jobs, and a commitment to staying together long-distance. Though these years were difficult, they were also filled with fun adventures, heartfelt Skype sessions, and synchronized TV watching, and we knew that being together was worth any extra challenges that came our way. In the fall of 2022, we finally settled down in the same city full-time, moving cross-country to Durham, NC. Since then, we have found a place to call home with a perfect mix of small city activities and easy access to the outdoors. This past spring, Peyton suggested a weekend trip to Carolina Beach. Though it was an otherwise disastrous weekend full of car breakdowns and torrential rain, Peyton proposed at sunset on Carolina Beach providing the perfect backdrop to an ecstatic yes. We can't wait for what comes next and look forward to having you along on our journey!
