I met Ivan for the 1st time twice. The 1st time, I didnt even pay attention to him. I remember being at Dustins when Armean and his ‘friend’ busted through the door shouting for no reason.. I said hey, he said hi & then I went home & didnt really think about him again to be honest. I was spending most of my time on work & had zero interest to date in LA. One day in July, my sister was in town visiting, which was the only reason I was off work that day. Kamran invited Armean over to swim at the house, & sure enough, here comes Ivan just as loud as he was before. But for whatever reason, I wanted to get to know him. A few days after this, he slides into my DM's and asks me out on a date. I still find it funny that Alyssa caught me running out the door & when she found out who I was going on a date with, she wasn't shy to tell me she didn't approve. I hope you've changed your mind, Alyssa. I knew I loved Ivan from the beginning. I was cautious for sure, but knew in my heart he was the one. Our relationship has gone through a lot these past 4 years, more than I anticipated, but I truly believe it was those hardships that led us here. Our 1st year of dating, I was working in San Diego, South Dakota & then commuting 120 mi/day- rarely home. Our 2nd year of dating, we moved in together-but after 1 month, I took a job in TX, separating us again. Our 3rd year of dating, we gave up our apartment, moved our stuff into a small storage pod & Oliver (my car) & moved to Wetumpka, AL. Since moving back to LA, Ivan continues to pursue his engineering degree, while I keep producing shows my mom likes. It hasn’t been easy, but I have never met someone like Ivan who would go through all of the uncertainty, long hours, emotions & overall drama that comes with being with me. The 2nd time I first met Ivan was a day that changed everything. Ivan, you are the most loyal, honest, kind, amazing, Slavic man who pushes me to be better every day. I can’t wait to change my last name. <3 Bean
