Restaurants

One of our favorite parts of life here is exploring the food, coffee, and drink spots that give Wichita its charm. Since many of you will be traveling in for the wedding, we’ve pulled together a list of our go-to places to sip, snack, and linger. Whether you’re after a great cup of joe, a local brew, or a cozy dinner, these are the places we love sharing with each other — and now with you.

The Belmont

3555 East Douglas Avenue, Wichita, KS 67218

The Belmont was the scene of our very first date—made slightly less private by the fact that students from Molly's school were there to witness it unfold. It’s the kind of place that turns dinner into a memory, starting with their bruschetta (prosciutto and fig, pepper jelly with cream cheese, and spinach artichoke—don’t make us pick a favorite). We always recommend the steak board to share, too. Our orders: Molly: Ravioli spiral Mattias: Creekstone Prime Strip

Red Bird Sandwich Company

6440 East Central Avenue, Wichita, KS 67206

Redbird has officially become "our" spot—you’ll most often find us here on Monday nights for trivia. The fries are the star (get them as your side, always). Consider this your formal warning: order the chips instead and you may lose your wedding invite. Pro tip—ask for all six sauces. The caramelized onion, dijon aioli, jalapeño ranch, and sriracha aioli are our favorites. Our orders: Molly: Ranch Water + The Oriole (bacon, lettuce, tomato, red onion, avocado, egg, mustard aioli, sliced brioche) — occasionally as a quinoa bowl Mattias: WuShock Wheat + The Duclair Duck (hot wagyu roast beef, swiss, sautéed onions, mustard aioli, Italian roll, au jus)

Larcher's Market

3555 East Douglas Avenue, Wichita, KS 67218

Every neighborhood deserves a market like this one: owned by a Holy Cross family, serving coffee that could charm even the sleepiest Sunday. Ordinary ingredients—extraordinary comfort. Our orders: Molly: Avocado toastie, hashbrowns, vanilla sweet cream cold brew Mattias: Breakfast sammie, church potatoes, coconut cream cold brew

Reverie Coffee Roasters

2202 East Douglas Avenue, Wichita, KS 67214

Before wandering through the farmers’ market on Mattias' first trip to Wichita, we grabbed coffee at Reverie. It was just one morning, but it still feels like part of the beginning of our story. Our orders: Molly: Iced vanilla latte, almond croissant Mattias: Black locally roasted coffee, chocolate croissant

HomeGrown

645 East Douglas Avenue, Wichita, KS 67202

Homegrown has quickly become our favorite brunch spot. On busy Sundays, Molly is known to sneak onto the website to grab us a spot in line—sometimes right after communion at church. (Shhh!) We always start with a brown sugar cinnamon Pop’d Heart and also recommend the local Keeper of the Flames garlic habanero hot sauce with your eggs (trust us). Our orders: Molly: West Coast Wake Up scramble with an English muffin Mattias: Seasonal French toast + Yoder meats sausage patty + side of over-easy eggs

Pennant Coffee

930 West Douglas Avenue, Wichita, KS 67203

If you’re looking for the hipster coffee stop in Wichita, this is it. Pennant is usually a quick stop for us—often after the Saturday farmers’ market—where the coffee is strong, the pastries are fresh, and the vibe leans cool without trying too hard. Our orders: Molly: Vanilla latte Mattias: Single-origin drip coffee Together: A pastry to split

Lottē

320 South Market Street, Wichita, KS 67202

Lotte is our favorite splurge date night spot—farm-to-table dining at its best in Wichita. It’s the kind of place where the menu shifts with the seasons, the cocktails are balanced just right, and every detail feels intentional. Sit at the bar or the chef’s counter for the full experience, check the specials list, and whatever you do, don’t skip the brioche. And always, always save room for dessert. Our orders: Molly: Ranch water (she thinks it’s the best in Wichita) Mattias: A glass of prosecco Together: House-made tater tots, feta dip, tuna crudo, Korean chicken wings, homemade brioche — plus dessert

Meddys

120 South Washington Avenue, Wichita, KS 67202

Meddys is our weeknight lifesaver—the place we turn to when we don’t feel like cooking but still want something fresh and comforting. The fluffy pita alone is worth the stop, but it’s also the kind of meal that makes an ordinary Tuesday feel a little easier. Our orders: Molly: Lamb shawarma wrap + potatoes + Diet Dr Pepper Mattias: Hummus stacked bowl with steak (pita only, no chips) + side of falafel + lemonade

Wichita Brewing Co. & Pizzeria

901 West Douglas Avenue, Wichita, KS 67213

Local beer, good pizza, and a laid-back Wichita vibe—Wichita Brewing Company in Delano has all three. It’s one of our go-tos, and the perfect place to gather with friends. Join us here! If you’re in town the night before the wedding, come raise a glass with us at 7 p.m. We’ll be gathering for a drink to kick off the celebration. (Drinks and food are on your own, but the company is on us.) Our orders: Molly: Cajun Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza Mattias: Beer flight (especially the WuShock Wheat) + Dad Joke pizza

Ziggy's Pizza

3700 East Douglas Avenue, Wichita, KS 67208

For a classic casual pizza night, Ziggy’s is our go-to. It’s the kind of place where splitting a salad and sharing a pie feels just right—nothing fancy, just exactly what you’re craving. Our orders: Together: Caesar salad Molly: White Delight pizza (grilled chicken, smoked bacon, green pepper & onion on cream cheese, with a side of marinara) Mattias: Big Time Pepperoni pizza

Papa's Ice Cream & Treats

3700 East Douglas Avenue, Wichita, KS 67208

Papa’s is a fun stop when the night calls for something sweet—and since ice cream is Molly’s favorite dessert, it’s always a win. Go for a double scoop, mix up two flavors, and make sure it’s in one of their unique waffle cones. Our orders: Double scoop in a specialty waffle cone (always mixing flavors). We each get our own—no sharing when it comes to ice cream!
