Matt and Molly met on a dating app, Bumble. Our first date was at a Mexican restaurant, Maria Bonita, which has become one of our favorite places. We spent hours talking and laughing on their covered patio, by the end we both knew we had met someone special.

Matt (and Katie) joined the O’Hara’s for their family vacation in Carillon Beach, FL. On Thursday of vacation, we went out to dinner at a fancy and eclectic restaurant called the Surfing Deer. We enjoyed a walk down the boardwalk and along the beach while we waited for our table to be ready. We enjoyed a delicious meal and each other’s company. When we returned to the house in Carillon Beach we went for a walk throughout the neighborhood and then headed toward to beach. We stopped along a walkover to listen to the waves and look at the stars. We sat down and talked for a few minutes before Matt stood up and asked Molly to join him. He then got on one knee and said ‘I love you, will you marry me?’ Completed shocked and flabbergasted, Molly asked if he was serious and then said YES! In all of the excitement, Molly knocked the ring box out of Matt’s hand as he was standing up to hug her. Luckily, the ring boxed stayed closed and the ring was safe! Somehow, after Matt picked the ring box up off the ground and with the excitement it was fumbled AGAIN! This time, when the box hit the ground, it opened and out popped the middle band of the ring setting! We couldn’t have been luckier because the ring landed right in the middle of a wooden board of the boardwalk. It could have fallen several feet below us into the sand if it would have fallen between the boards. After a HUGE sigh of relief Molly was able to put the ring on for the first time. Matt proposed with Molly’s Grandma’s ring, which was still in the original setting from when her grandma was still alive.
