A funny joke turned into a true love story. We both found dating apps as just something so harmless and funny. We matched by true luck. Ty had just moved to Fort Worth for a job opportunity and I have of course have lived in the Fort Worth area my whole life. Ty tried unbelievably hard for 3 months, which he will never let me live down. He eventually forced me to meet him at Texas Roadhouse after one of my classes. Not knowing that was the start of what we consider our forever, I went. Although we grew up in different ways, had very different hobbies and more importantly very different personalities, we hit it off immediately. The statement "opposites attract" is the saying made for us. Not to say we didn't have a bumpy start but if it's meant to be, it will be. We had a lot of things to work through as individuals. But we both knew those thing we small in the bigger picture of what could be us. We have spent everyday since that first date together. We have had many adventures in just the short 2 years we have been together. From the highest of highs including, moving into our first home, getting engaged and more importantly having our son - Ryder. To the lowest of lows including, losing Ty's Mom - Kay, experiencing job changes, and going through Ryder's NICU stay. None of these obstacles have been easy but with the right person, it is easy. We have truly supported one another with love, respect and a whole lot of Jesus. 10-17-2026 is the day we recognize each other not as individual's but as one.
