Like most couples these days, we met on a dating app. Our first date was at a coffee shop & bakery in Wilsonville called Lux Sucre Bakery in March 2024. We realized we had a lot in common - in particular, we both loved traveling and the outdoors. After a few more dates, Mollie decided to introduce him to some friends and some of her "nephews". Luckily, they all approved ;)

We spent a lot of time together during summer 2024, including many outdoor activities like camping, paddleboarding & kayaking, and hiking. Both of us spent a fair amount of time driving on I-5 between Portland and Salem. We also started traveling together. We started off big with a trip to Venice and the Dolomites - which we planned a month before we went. It was a great adventure and a good test - we were in each other's company for a solid 10 days and came back in one piece lol. We took a few smaller trips during the end of summer and fall as well to California and Colorado. We moved in together in Keizer in November, which was a big step for both of us! We took one more big trip over Spring Break to Costa Rica -Rabin is learning that we only get to travel for extended periods on school breaks ;)

We had gone to look at rings a couple of times and Mollie had picked out an absolutely gorgeous one. Now, she just had to (im)patiently wait for Rabin to propose. We had planned to go hiking at Silver Falls on April 19 and Mollie had a feeling it was going to be a good day ;) Once we got to Upper North Falls (which Rabin had scouted the previous weekend and chosen for its lack of people), he proposed, and clearly, Mollie said yes!
